Configuring roles for employees

Configuring roles for employees

Every organisation operating in a given industry and environment deals with various types of data and uses different tools to reach clients and sell products or services. Over time, sole proprietorships grow into companies that hire more and more employees. At the right moment for the business, every founder starts dividing responsibilities and, in doing so, begins defining access to information and the ability to modify it.

To make such a division of competencies possible, Sugester has introduced the "role" tool. Account administrators are well acquainted with this feature. It allows them to enable access to individual system options. They can specify which employees have access to the CRM module, which ones can create and send email campaigns, or create a knowledge base.

One of the additional features within a role is the ability to hide individual fields on the client card. This means that employees who generally have access to the CRM module and client data can have their scope of access more precisely defined.

When configuring a role, you can list the fields on the client card that a given employee will not see.

For comparison, here are two views. One view is available for a person with full access to all data in the CRM module. The other view concerns a person without access to part of the data.

View for an administrator or a person with full access to all client data.

View for an employee with restricted access.

Tips on configuring roles and hiding fields can be found in our knowledge base.
